The SHIFT Peer Mentoring Cohort, a groundbreaking initiative designed to foster pastoral well-being, enhance self-awareness, and unleash creative potential in ministry leaders. Guided by the mission of Supportive, Holistic Innovations for Thriving in Ministry (SHIFT) and driven by a vision of Pastoral Well-Being, Agency, and Imagination (WAI), this cohort equips ministers with the tools for transformative leadership.
In the rich tradition of the Black church, preaching holds a central and revered role. The ability to deliver compelling sermons that resonate with congregants is both an art and a skill that can be honed through dedicated study and practice. This 8-week, synchronous course aims to optimize the preaching experience and empower preachers to deliver impactful sermons that resonate with their communities and beyond.
